Job summary

Meta's Global Strategy & Development team is seeking a Data Center Location Strategy Analyst to support long‑term capacity planning and site selection for Meta's data center portfolio. You will build location frameworks, models, and dashboards to inform multi‑billion dollar capital investments.

You will collaborate with real estate, energy, network, finance, and construction teams to translate forecasts into actionable site development pipelines and portfolio recommendations that scale globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in data center site selection, infrastructure capacity planning, real estate strategy, energy market analysis, or a closely related field.
• Experience building quantitative models to evaluate and compare infrastructure investment alternatives, including scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling.
• Experience synthesizing complex, multi-variable datasets spanning geographic, energy, regulatory, and financial dimensions to produce actionable strategic recommendations.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with real estate, energy, finance, or network teams to drive alignment on infrastructure planning decisions.
• Ability to source and utilize data, including data visualization, to communicate analytical findings and strategic recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain location strategy frameworks and analyses that evaluate potential data center sites across power, land cost, connectivity, permitting risk, climate exposure, and labor market depth.
• Translate long-range capacity forecasts into geographic supply requirements and prioritize site development pipelines.
• Build quantitative models and scenario analyses to compare location options across cost, risk, schedule, and strategic fit for executive decisions.
• Synthesize market intelligence on power grid infrastructure, interconnection timelines, renewable energy availability, and regulatory environments.
• Collaborate across real estate, energy, network, and cross-functional teams to assess site feasibility and portfolio implications.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track site development health, milestones, risk flags, and decision gate status.
• Align location strategy outputs with financial models, total cost of ownership analyses, and long-range investment plans.
• Identify emerging markets that meet siting criteria and expand the portfolio of viable locations.
