Job summary

CBM of America is seeking an Installation Technician Level 4 to perform intermediate and advanced installation work in data centers. You will work with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to GR-1275 and NSTD119 standards, and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include on-site coordination with supervisors, material reconciliation, tool maintenance, and hardware testing. Travel up to 100% and varying shifts are required; candidate must demonstrate strong wiring and testing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Data Center/PoP/CO installation experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of basic power tools.
• Ability to adapt to various work environments.
• Knowledge of optical routing equipment installations.
• Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation and testing.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power.
• Knowledge of infrastructure installation work (racks, cable racks and fiber duct).

Responsibilities

• Work with minimum supervision and be certified in Skill levels 1, 2 and 3.
• Input job status, issues and requests into the Project Management platform.
• Reconcile materials for sales order using web-based inventory control forms.
• Understand the scope of work and customer expectations as well as profitability objectives.
• Control on-site aspects of the job and coordinate with the Installation Supervisor or PM.
• Interface with Engineering to resolve order issues and document changes.
• Maintain tools and monitor calibration requirements.
• Perform hardware testing, power verification, provisioning and system tests.
• Meet or exceed customer and internal quality standards.
• Adhere to training, safety and compliance requirements.
