Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Data Center Fiber Deployment Lead to drive data center construction projects with colocation providers. You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and quality, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to design specifications.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, conduct site walks, lead startup and commissioning, and oversee risk mitigation to keep projects aligned with requirements and business goals.

Qualifications

• 11 years of experience in construction project management in lieu of a degree.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering or a related field, and 7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Master's degree in construction management engineering or related field, and 3 years of experience in construction project management AND Doctorate in Construction Management, Engineering or related field AND 2 years of experience working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

Responsibilities

• Leads the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develops and maintains detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely milestone delivery across multiple projects.
• Creates and manages project budgets, optimizing resource allocation to ensure cost-effective project execution.
• Creates, reviews, and maintains documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers, ensuring standards are upheld, documents are managed effectively, and materials are suitable for their intended purpose.
