Job summary

ADB Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead GMP-based cost estimating for data-center and telecom infrastructure projects across the United States. You will review designs, perform takeoffs, develop comprehensive cost estimates, and drive bid opportunities by coordinating with engineers, managers, and clients.

The role requires extensive GMP modeling experience, knowledge of data center systems, and proficiency with Accubid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in utility construction, telecommunications, structured cabling, or electrical infrastructure estimating.
• 5+ years overseeing data center or mission-critical facility projects.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and risks.
• Review RFPs, design drawings, and technical specifications for new projects.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs for OSP/ISP systems.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for data center projects from conceptual design to construction.
• Analyze blueprints and project documents to determine scope, materials, and labor requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to understand project constraints.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers; negotiate terms and pricing.
• Create proposal documentation; present bid proposals with scope clarifications and cost breakdowns.
• Maintain estimating tools and historical pricing databases.
• Develop estimating strategies to enhance competitiveness and bid success.
• Maintain a database of historical costs and market trends to inform estimates.
• Identify new business opportunities; provide strategic input on projects.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Identify risks and opportunities; develop contingency plans and strategies.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and value engineering to optimize designs and budgets.
• Ensure estimates comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
