Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer in the United States to serve as a technical liaison between technology teams and Data Center environments, focusing on operational run support and core infrastructure. You will troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of data center issues, monitor systems, and contribute to automation efforts.

You are expected to execute small projects independently and partner with management on larger local initiatives, with potential experience from cloud

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• DoD 8140 Certification such as Security+ or higher is required.
• Bachelor of Science in CS, IS or equivalent work experience.
• 3-8 years in Data Center infrastructure Operations and server administration in 200-1000+ server environments.
• Experience in two or more areas: Power capacity, Incident management, Systems administration, Networking.

Responsibilities

• Understand the design, functionality and operational requirements of data centers within the assigned region.
• Perform advanced break/fix, hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support for servers, components, PDUs, and supporting infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage work within ticketing systems, ensuring issues are resolved within SLAs.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex or non-routine technical issues and guide less experienced technicians.
• Identify recurring failures or operational trends; perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
• Provide after-hours support when required to maintain operational availability.
