Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to design and implement data center electrical systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to prepare comprehensive construction documents.

The role requires ensuring quality and budget adherence while meeting relevant codes and regulations, with potential for travel to sites and a 4-month contract length with extension possibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 12+ years relevant electrical experience.
• Minimum 7+ years experience in electrical design for industrial or commercial environments.
• Strong experience developing design documentation for construction or permitting.

Responsibilities

• Develop data center electrical designs and collaborate to create construction document sets.
• Ensure designs meet quality requirements and stay within budget.
• Coordinate with local agencies to ensure code compliance (IBC, NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support during construction.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to test installation performance.
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographic regions.
