Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Development Manager to lead the development management of complex colocation and leased data center projects in AWS’s AMER portfolio. You will own the portfolio’s most demanding initiatives, establishing standards, playbooks, and best practices that scale across the organization, while mentoring other Development Managers and shaping delivery processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience directly related to the design or construction of large data center facilities, either colocation or client owned/operated.
15+ years of Real Estate Development, Construction, Engineering, or Data Center Management experience.

Responsibilities

Own and manage colocation and leased data center development projects from post-lease through turnover and commissioning.
Manage a portfolio of concurrent, high-complexity development projects across a broad geographic area to ensure on-time delivery at scale.
Drive vendor accountability to AWS standards, specifications, and delivery timelines within the portfolio.
Develop a repeatable, scalable delivery process and codify SOPs, playbooks, and templates for the Development Management team.
