Job summary

Iron Mountain in the United States is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead end-to-end design delivery for data center developments and upgrades. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams through concept, construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring safety, resilience, and sustainability alignment.

You will coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and internal partners, drive risk and value engineering, and mentor junior design managers to elevate regional practices.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical projects.
• Deep knowledge of critical facility systems and permitting.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Define the design delivery strategy from concept to handover.
• Coordinate external consultants and internal stakeholders across disciplines.
• Oversee design risk, reporting, and value engineering.
• Mentor Design Managers to elevate regional practices.
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex programs.
