Job summary

Oracle Corporation is seeking a Principal Design Manager to lead the end-to-end design lifecycle for Oracle Cloud data center projects. You will drive critical infrastructure design from concept through commissioning in a matrixed team environment.

This is an individual contributor role requiring close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, controls, network and systems integration disciplines to ensure performance, reliability, and operational readiness while adhering to Oracle standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end design lifecycles for large-scale data center infrastructure.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, controls, network and systems teams.
• Wamiliarity with design reviews, value engineering and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee end-to-end design lifecycle for Oracle Cloud data center critical infrastructure, including requirements development, detailed design, construction issue resolution, commissioning handover.
• Partner with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to meet performance, reliability, scalability and operability requirements while adhering to Oracle standards.
• Represent Engineering in cross-OCI and cross-functional forums; provide technical direction and drive alignment among stakeholders.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to leadership to inform cost, schedule, risk and capacity decisions.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, external consultants, construction partners and vendors to resolve conflicts and ensure program objectives.
• Provide design oversight during pre-construction, construction and QA/QC phases; collaborate with field teams to resolve issues and manage change.
• Travel to data center sites approximately 10-25% to support field execution and resolve design issues with construction and operations teams.
• Lead recurring project and design coordination meetings; drive risk identification and remove blockers to maintain momentum.
• Lead design reviews, value engineering and technical due diligence with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capture lessons learned and continuously improve design standards, processes and tooling across teams.
