Job summary

Salute is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician (Level 2) to join our Barstow, TX team and ensure peak operation of data center equipment. This on-site role emphasizes preventive maintenance, rapid response to issues, and collaboration with engineers, clients, and vendors.

The position requires a minimum of 5 years in data center operations, with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and building systems. On-site shifts and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct data center equipment operation and maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Experience with generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and building management systems.
• High attention to safety and ability to work on-site in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Perform planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance with multiple trades.
• Inspect building systems to ensure safe, clean conditions.
• Respond quickly to indoor emergencies and air quality issues.
• Create, close, and track work requests (WR) and follow up on completion.
• Coordinate access for third-party contractors and carriers.
