Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to deliver cost management services for a major data center portfolio in Northern Virginia. The role is client-facing, based out of the Tysons, VA office, requiring strong communication and leadership across large-scale construction programs.

You will lead VE sessions, review pricing, manage variances, and ensure timely financial reporting while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related.
• 6–7 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying on large-scale construction.
• Experience in mission-critical or data center projects preferred.
• Proven ability to lead meetings, influence stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes.
• Proficiency with cost management systems and MS Office.
• MRICS, PMP, CCP or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning and present final cost plans.
• Coordinate with design teams and contractors on cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and validate contractor data for accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates and executive summaries.
• Produce monthly cost reports and support final accounts and closeout.
