Job summary

Flux Resources in Austin, TX is seeking a senior Control Systems Engineer to lead design, development, and commissioning of SCADA, BMS, and EPMS for hyperscale data centers across the U.S. and Europe. You will own end-to-end control system architecture and drive standardization across deployments.

The role requires hands-on PLC/SCADA programming, FAT support, and strong leadership to mentor engineers while traveling 50–70% to site locations.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in industrial control systems engineering.
Experience designing control systems for mission-critical facilities.
Proficiency in PLC/SCADA programming and HMI development.
Experience supporting FAT, commissioning, and field deployment.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of data center control systems including HVAC, chilled water, power monitoring, and data hall systems.
Develop control system architectures, functional specifications, and detailed engineering design.
Program and configure PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs based on project requirements.
Define and maintain standard sequences of operations (SOOs), P&IDs, and control design templates.
Support simulations, FAT, construction, and commissioning activities.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Ensure alignment of control systems with overall electrical, mechanical, and operational design intent.
