Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale data center construction projects in Mississippi. This onsite role requires driving safety, schedule adherence, and quality across multi-disciplinary teams, while coordinating with PMs, engineers, and trade partners.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of commercial/industrial construction, 5+ years in senior supervisory roles, and a strong grasp of MEP systems with experience in mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or General Superintendent.
• Experience delivering mission-critical, data center, industrial, semiconductor, healthcare, or advanced manufacturing projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil construction systems.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all field operations on data center projects.
• Mentor field leadership and craft personnel to ensure safe, productive execution.
• Develop and implement construction execution plans aligned with schedules.
• Coordinate field operations with project teams and trade partners.
• Lead planning meetings and drive schedule performance.
• Ensure resources are planned and allocated across project phases.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, quality, and safety compliance.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate project status to leadership.
