Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead onsite construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout for a large data center project in DeKalb, IL. This 12-month+ assignment requires owning scopes across multiple buildings and coordinating with prime contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7–10+ years of experience supporting large-scale capital construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and connectivity infrastructure systems.
• Experience coordinating construction activities across multiple contractors, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage scopes, risks, and drive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities for large-scale data center projects.
• Own assigned construction scopes across multiple phases, buildings, and infrastructure systems.
• Provide construction leadership and oversight of general contractors, subcontractors, designers, consultants, and vendors.
• Coordinate activities across prime contractors and stakeholders to align with project objectives.
• Oversee MEP and connectivity infrastructure construction activities.
• Coordinate owner-furnished equipment management, deliveries, and readiness.
• Develop, review, and manage procedures for construction in live environments.
• Maintain construction schedules with stakeholders and monitor critical-path activities.
• Support cost management, budgeting, and ROM estimates.
• Conduct site walks, progress reviews, and quality inspections.
• Identify project risks and drive solutions to maintain momentum.
