Job summary

IREN in Childress, TX is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center projects under an owner-operator-GC model. You will drive construction strategy, field execution, and contractor performance to ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive construction management experience delivering large-scale industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading complex field execution across multiple contractors and workstreams.
• Strong knowledge of EPCM, design-build, and CM-at-risk delivery models.
• Experience managing schedule, cost control, forecasting, change management, and risk mitigation.
• Working knowledge of building codes and electrical infrastructure, including MV/HV distribution.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work on-site to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project delivery across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and scope.
• Establish and execute construction strategy aligned with delivery models (EPC, design-build, CM-at-risk).
• Lead site execution across multiple contractors and trades.
• Develop and manage integrated project schedules with milestones.
• Drive budget discipline through forecasting and cost-to-complete tracking.
• Provide visibility into schedule and cost performance to leadership.
• Lead contractor, supplier, and field performance across engagements.
• Resolve cross-trade coordination issues to maintain productivity.
• Ensure workforce accountability and alignment with project goals.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks (regulatory, safety, quality).
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and internal processes.
• Champion safety culture and enforce EHS and QA/QC standards.
• Drive commissioning readiness and turnover to operations.
• Lead high-performing teams and support development and continuous improvement.
• Provide clear, decision-quality reporting to project leadership.
