Job summary

KALCON is seeking a Sr. Construction Manager to coordinate, manage, and report on construction activities for mission-critical facilities in Abernathy, TX.

The role emphasizes on-site oversight, schedule validation, and cross-team collaboration across GC, vendors, and commissioning teams. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in MS Office and project scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of commercial/industrial construction or mission-critical project experience.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• PMP, CCM, or PE license is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction oversight for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP activities across multiple buildings on a data center campus.
• Review and validate the GC's full construction schedule, including monthly forecasts, CPM updates, and detailed look-ahead plans.
• Participate in and/or lead weekly schedule coordination meetings with the GC, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and direct vendors.
• Manage OFCI equipment lifecycle including scheduling, logistics planning, delivery oversight, inspection, and installation tracking.
• Coordinate commissioning schedules and ensure alignment with construction progress and equipment readiness.
• Oversee customer fit-out scheduling and ensure alignment between base-build turnover and tenant infrastructure requirements.
• Review and analyze value-engineering proposals to maintain performance and reliability of mission-critical systems.
• Validate monthly pay applications against work in place, contract values, and schedule progress.
