Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning of large data center projects in Dallas/Fort Worth, overseeing design through testing and turnover. The role emphasizes energy efficiency, LEED goals, and coordination with owners, design teams, contractors, and vendors.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in commissioning and a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, with strong documentation and communication skills. Travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or data center systems.
• Experience developing commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and final commissioning reports.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, LEED, CCC, BCA, SMACNA standards and related practices.
• Strong technical writing, documentation management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple commissioning projects and communicate with owners, design teams, contractors, and operators.
• Travel within the U.S. as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning process from initiation through turnover with owners, design teams, contractors, vendors, and testing providers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop Commissioning Plans and Reports with recommendations for operating optimization.
• Review Owner's Project Requirements and Basis of Design for alignment with commissioning objectives.
• Perform design reviews, validate submittals, and document findings and actions.
• Maintain commissioning issues logs and coordinate resolutions across design, construction, startup, and testing phases.
• Perform periodic site observations to verify installation per design intent.
• Develop and witness functional performance test scripts and procedures; document results and corrective actions.
• Review testing reports for completeness and compliance with commissioning requirements.
• Ensure turnover documentation, SOPs, and MOPs are complete and accurate.
• This role may require travel across the United States.
