Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Lead Principle Commissioning Engineer to guide multi-disciplinary commissioning across data center projects in the Chicago area. This senior role interfaces with data center partners to ensure building systems are tested and ready for service, with responsibilities spanning electrical, control and mechanical domains.

The incumbent will set Oracle's commissioning stance, work with delivery teams, and mentor junior staff, while traveling up to two weeks monthly to site

Qualifications

• Senior multi-disciplinary data center commissioning lead with IST focus.
• Experience reviewing design and delivering mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of commissioning across multiple lease provider projects.
• Apply expert operating knowledge of engineering systems to ensure reliability.
• Maintain safe working practices at an expert level and enforce them.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and colocation providers.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across teams.
• Contribute to contract administration, change orders and cost forecasts.
• Lead Oracle interactions with data center partners for commissioning.
• Review testing procedures to verify equipment and subsystems.
• Assist design teams to ensure reliable, resilient data centers.
• Travel up to two weeks per month; reside in or move to the Chicago area.
