Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead Commissioning for data center projects in a multi-building, high-risk environment. You will coordinate commissioning planning, readiness verification, and turnover while guiding a team of Cx professionals and collaborating with clients and CxA partners.

The role emphasizes leadership in commissioning execution, program development, and continuous improvement across the lifecycle, including startup, testing, and handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of commissioning, startup, MEP construction, or equivalent leadership on large projects.
• Strong technical competence in at least one core discipline (electrical, mechanical, or controls).
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, sequences of operation, test procedures, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Review design, procurement, and construction planning for Cx impacts; identify risks early.
• Develop and maintain Cx plans, schedules, and readiness controls.
• Coordinate Cx activities with project master schedules across concurrent builds and turnover.
• Lead readiness reviews, governance checkpoints, and startup coordination across scopes.
• Mentor Commissioning personnel and interface with client leadership and CxA.
