Job summary

Clear is seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers and Managers to lead testing, verification, and startup of electrical, mechanical, and BMS within mission-critical data center projects across the USA. You will own end-to-end commissioning lifecycles, develop MOPs, FPTs, and IST scripts, and coordinate with GC/subcontractors to ensure reliability and turnover readiness.

Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years of data center commissioning experience, strong leadership and communication, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• 5–10+ years of commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Hands-on expertise with electrical distribution systems and HVAC infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, IEEE, NFPA 70E, CxA guidelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute commissioning processes for data center infrastructure across the USA.
• Develop and execute MOPs, FPTs, and IST scripts.
• Inspect and verify electrical and mechanical systems including generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, chillers, and CRAC/CRAH units.
• Coordinate with general contractors and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Document deficiencies, punch lists, and remediation workflows.
• Ensure OSHA, NFPA, and QA compliance; lead commissioning meetings; provide progress reports.
