Job summary

SoTalent is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead onsite data center infrastructure and structured cabling projects. You will oversee fiber and copper installs, read blueprints, coordinate with project managers, and ensure safety and quality in mission-critical environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cabling or data center construction, proven leadership of multiple crews, and strong knowledge of installation standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structured cabling or data center construction.
• Experience leading multiple crews on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of copper and fiber optic installation standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and port maps.
• Experience with infrastructure builds, rack systems, and cabling technologies.
• Certifications such as CFTT, CFI, BICSI, or FOA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage onsite data center infrastructure and cabling teams.
• Coordinate project execution with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and contractors.
• Monitor milestones, labor utilization, productivity, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and customer requirements.
• Oversee fiber and copper installations, testing, troubleshooting, and certifications.
• Review blueprints, port maps, and technical documentation to support deployment activities.
• Validate materials, project documentation, and installation standards.
• Support QA/QC reviews and final walkthroughs.
• Mentor team leads and recommend training opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned documentation.
• Support both new deployment projects and live production environments.
