Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Architecture Manager to lead planning, design management, and delivery of hyperscale data center projects in a highly integrated, cross-disciplinary environment. You will oversee architectural consultants and coordinate with electrical, mechanical, controls, telecommunications, and construction teams to ensure reliability, security, and scalability through all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect (RA) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years of architecture, design management, or project leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting mission-critical, technology, industrial, healthcare, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects from concept through construction completion.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Strong understanding of: Data center design principles; Critical facility infrastructure; Building systems coordination; Construction administration; Design management processes; Building codes and life safety requirements.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural programming, planning, and design management activities for new construction, campus expansions, retrofit projects, and facility upgrades.
• Establish architectural design criteria, standards, and project objectives for mission-critical environments.
• Direct the development and review of conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document packages.
• Coordinate space planning requirements for white space, electrical rooms, mechanical plants, security operations, loading and logistics areas, admin spaces.
• Lead coordination among architectural teams, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, controls, telecom, and construction teams.
• Serve as architectural lead during construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, local codes, ADA, life safety, fire protection.
• Incorporate sustainable design strategies and energy-efficient solutions.
• Mentor junior architects and support proposal development.
