Job summary

Imagineeer seeks a Lead Data and Architecture professional to serve as the senior technical authority for secure, enterprise-scale data environments supporting DoD health and defense missions.

The role leads architectural decisions, governance, and compliance across IL4/IL5 cloud environments, aligning with DoD policies, RMF, and NIST standards, while briefing senior officials on risk and readiness. ATO ownership is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise data architecture experience in DoD or federal civilian agencies.
• Experience supporting RMF accreditation and ATO processes.
• Deep knowledge of NIST 800-series controls and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Experience designing secure IL4/IL5 cloud architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov).

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern IL4/IL5 cloud data environments (lakehouse/data mesh).
• Lead data governance and ensure compliance with DoD policies and standards.
• Oversee AI governance integration into federal data environments.
• Brief senior government officials on risk, compliance, and readiness.
