Job summary

Dynatrace is seeking a Lead Data Architect to shape how data is modeled, stored, and accessed across the enterprise data platform. You will own standards for Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers and enable AI-ready assets for downstream applications.

You will lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and partner with business/BI teams to connect Snowflake models to dashboards. This is a remote-eligible role with EST hours; candidates near Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; and Denver, CO may work hybrid

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture with technical leadership.
• Deep Snowflake expertise including RBAC/RLS, dynamic tables and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing Medallion Architecture at scale.
• Strong 3NF and dimensional modeling in production environments.
• Hands-on semantic layer design and BI tool integration (dbt, Tableau, PowerBI).
• Elastic ETL/ELT patterns; maintainable, observable pipelines.
• Experience with data APIs (REST/GraphQL) and data ownership models.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise data models across domains using 3NF and Dimensional Modeling.
• Enforce Medallion Architecture layers Bronze/Silver/Gold and curation rules.
• Set ELT guardrails: source alignment, incremental load, failure handling.
• Architect semantic layer for AI apps; ontology and entity resolution.
• Define APIs and interface standards between data platform and analytics workloads.
• Design RBAC/RLS reflecting business data ownership without bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with BI teams to map Snowflake models to dashboards and datasets.
• Coordinate architecture reviews and mentor engineers.
