Job summary

FlightSafety International Inc is seeking a Lead Data Architect in Columbus, Ohio. This senior role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise and system-level data models utilizing Data Vault methodology within a Data Mesh architecture.

The Lead Data Architect will work closely with diverse teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and well-governed data products on the organization’s Databricks platform.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in IT, particularly in data architecture, with a strong track record in mentoring and leading architectural efforts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, primarily in Data Architecture.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise data platforms, preferably on Databricks.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Data Vault modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of data models using Data Vault for Databricks.
• Collaborate with teams to translate business needs into data architecture solutions.
• Drive implementation of master data management and data governance initiatives.

Skills

Experience with Data Vault 2.0 methodology

Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services

Experience with Databricks features

Solid experience in master data management

Proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL, Spark)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
