Job summary

Synechron seeks a senior Data Architect / Solution Architect to lead the target‑state architecture for a Home Lending data transformation. You will shape enterprise data models, drive cloud modernization, and establish governance standards across regulatory reporting and data platforms.

The role requires deep Banking/Financial Services expertise, mortgage domain knowledge, and hands‑on work with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and modern data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Architecture or Solution Architecture across large financial services.
• Proven experience leading cloud modernization and migration programs.
• Strong hands‑on architecture and design with GCP, BigQuery, and data platforms.
• Knowledge of Mortgage Origination, Servicing, and related data domains.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the target‑state architecture for the Home Lending data platform.
• Develop and drive enterprise data model strategy for Home Lending domains.
• Lead architecture for cloud modernization programs and platform migrations.
• Design scalable, secure data, integration, and analytics architectures on GCP.
• Define data lake/lakehouse patterns and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Establish metadata, lineage, cataloging, and governance standards.
• Ensure FR Y-14M regulatory reporting, traceability, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with business, data engineering, governance, and ops teams to align architecture with requirements.
• Produce architecture artifacts and knowledge transfer materials.
• Guide legacy rationalization across Ab Initio, SAS, Teradata, and data warehouses.
