Job summary

Synechron is seeking a senior Data Modeler to support a Home Lending data modernization and regulatory reporting project. The role emphasizes data modeling across mortgage origination, servicing, and regulatory reporting with a cloud-native GCP BigQuery stack.

You will work with governance, risk, and analytics teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable data structures, ensuring data quality and lineage across enterprise data assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years hands-on data modeling in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years in Banking, Financial Services, Risk, or Regulatory Reporting domains.
• Experience in large-scale Data Warehouse Modernization or Cloud Transformation initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Home Lending, Mortgage Origination, and Mortgage Servicing data domains.
• Proven experience supporting FR Y-14M or similar regulatory reporting programs.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Home Lending and Regulatory Reporting.
• Develop scalable enterprise data models for Google BigQuery environments.
• Model data across Raw, Curated, Business, and Reporting layers.
• Define business rules, relationships, and metadata standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to modernize legacy warehouses.
• Support data lineage, audits, and regulatory examinations.
