Base pay range

$121,550.00/yr - $164,450.00/yr

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Architecture Specialist to join their advanced manufacturing and technology team at one of their key facilities in the Seattle metropolitan area, including Renton and Everett. This pivotal role supports enterprise-level data strategy and architecture across complex systems and operations in a high-precision aerospace production environment.

You will be responsible for shaping and overseeing the architecture of enterprise data solutions used in engineering, production, supply chain, compliance, and other mission-critical functions. This includes driving the design and integration of data platforms to enable better decision-making and improve operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee scalable enterprise data architecture to support digital manufacturing, engineering design, quality management, and compliance tracking
• Develop data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for engineering, manufacturing execution, and lifecycle management systems
• Partner with stakeholders across IT, engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with organizational goals
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse systems, including factory equipment telemetry, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), and product development tools (e.g., Teamcenter, CATIA)
• Architect and document full data flows from ingestion to analytics, incorporating best practices for performance and maintainability
• Define and implement governance practices to ensure high-quality, consistent, and compliant data usage across departments
• Lead ETL/ELT efforts to harmonize information from disparate sources
• Establish data warehousing and BI capabilities to support analytics, reporting, and digital twin initiatives
• Recommend and support cloud adoption strategies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for enhanced scalability and agility
• Translate business data needs into technical solutions, and guide teams on data-related tools and platforms
• Keep abreast of new data technology, architecture patterns, and regulatory standards within aerospace and industrial environments

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in data engineering, architecture, or advanced analytics
• Strong understanding of relational database principles and hands-on experience with database schema design or object modeling
• Background in developing or managing ETL pipelines
• Familiarity with ERP platforms, especially in large-scale manufacturing contexts

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related technical field
• Experience with aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing industries
• Exposure to data stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Golden Gate)
• Working knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., FAA, ITAR, AS9100) and implementation of data governance frameworks
• Practical experience with platforms such as Oracle, Teradata, or Microsoft SQL Server
• Certifications in cloud data architecture, enterprise data strategy, or related areas (e.g., AWS Data Analytics, TOGAF, CDMP)
• Experience working within Agile teams or environments
