Job summary

Bank of Hawaii is seeking a senior analytics resource to translate business needs into practical data and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making across the organization. You will partner with stakeholders, design reusable datasets, and lead analytics initiatives.

The role requires advanced SQL, data warehousing knowledge, and the ability to guide analysts, deliver scalable dashboards, and ensure data quality, governance, and timely management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in data analytics, BI, or data solution development.
• Advanced SQL, data modeling, dashboard/reporting development, translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) or similar software; knowledge of Bank software/systems.
• Advanced data management and data warehousing knowledge.
• Strong business sense, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and work across departments with minimal supervision; flexible hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into analytical approaches, scalable reporting solutions, and actionable recommendations.
• Design reusable datasets and reporting structures to support multiple use cases and improve data consistency.
• Apply advanced SQL and data design to improve data accessibility, quality, and governance for reporting and analysis.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to analysts; promote scalable analytics and standards.
• Develop and improve performance tracking, dashboards, and management reporting to keep metrics accurate and timely.
