Job summary

American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) invites a Senior Manager of Data Analytics to lead a cross-skilled team and own the technical direction for data platforms. You will balance hands-on credibility with project management, business case development, and resource planning to run the function as a strategic business partner.

You will guide modernization of the data architecture, drive governance, and ensure reliable decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Strong technical proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI.
• Experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT design, plus data governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage hiring, development, coaching, and performance of Data & Analytics team members.
• Guide evolution of the data stack and champion work with IT and business leaders.
• Lead modernization of data architecture, evaluating, planning, and implementing platforms.
• Ensure data integrity and support reliable business decisions with scalable solutions.
• Build and manage project plans, timelines, and delivery milestones for data initiatives.
• Identify knowledge gaps and translate business questions into data/reporting solutions.
• Develop plans to meet evolving needs of the organization and customers.
