Job summary

VIA in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to turn raw data into trusted narratives powering VIA's analytics products. You will own data initiatives end to end on a fast-moving agile team, collaborating with engineers, data peers, and client delivery professionals to deliver AI-powered data solutions with strong data quality and security.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data roles, a STEM degree, proficiency in Python/R, and experience with data pipelines and cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a data-driven role with end-to-end ownership
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field or data-driven discipline
• Proficiency in Python or R; strong data storytelling capability
• Experience with three or more of: SQL/PostgreSQL, data science libraries, data pipelines, cloud platforms
• Strong communication and self-starting mindset; learning new tech quickly
• Nice-to-have: Generative AI tools and pytest

Responsibilities

• Understand data domain and translate to data infrastructure requirements
• Build AI-powered data products and interactive data analyses
• Own ETL/ELT pipelines with quality controls and traceability
• Improve internal data tooling for cleaning, modeling, and analytics
