Job summary

Fuse Engineering in Maryland is seeking a skilled SWE to advance automation of security evaluation and data analytics. You will work within a SCRUM team to develop, test, and deploy cybersecurity tooling across the enterprise, focusing on reliable data delivery and scalable analytics.

The role requires a Top Secret SCI w/ Maryland Polygraph Clearance and a strong background in analytics development, with experience in Pig/PySpark and relevant programming languages.

Qualifications

• .Strong background in analytics development.
• .Desire to learn Pig and PySpark.
• .7 years of SWE experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• .Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• .4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation to move from manual security evaluation to an automated model across the project lifecycle.
• Support a SCRUM team to develop and deploy enterprise cybersecurity tooling.
• Create, maintain, and run Pig and/or PySpark analytics; review data ingest tickets and merge requests.
• Deliver reliable, accurate data to end users and ensure day-to-day operations succeed.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and software development standards.
• Design or modify software to add new features and integrate with systems.
