Job summary

Orion180 is hiring a Data & Analytics Architect to design scalable data platforms on the Microsoft cloud and bridge core insurance systems with analytical consumers. You’ll implement data lakehouse architectures, govern data, and lead cloud migrations and platform integrations.

You will partner with data scientists, analysts, and business leaders to turn raw data into production-ready assets for real-time analytics, risk platforms, and Power BI-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• United States Citizen or Green Card holder required.
• 7+ years in enterprise data architecture with demonstrated leadership in data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL systems (Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL; experience with Geospatial data is a plus.
• Credentials such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable data architectures on Azure with Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion patterns and Delta Lake.
• Lead data modeling across relational, dimensional (Kimball/Star Schema), and Data Vault.
• Develop data processing logic using PySpark on Azure Databricks and Synapse Analytics.
• Architect data governance, schemas, and semantic layers to power Power BI and self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business leaders to productionize data assets.
