Job summary

Orion180 Insurance Services LLC in Irving, TX seeks a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data integrations and cloud data infrastructure powering analytics and data science across the company.

You will lead robust data pipelines, orchestrate workflows with Azure native tools, and implement governance frameworks. Collaborate with data scientists and business leaders to deliver production-ready assets for real-time analytics and risk platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years on Azure in a regulated environment.
• Mastery of T-SQL and relational databases; strong Python/PySpark scripting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
• Design optimized lakehouse architectures with Azure Synapse Analytics and Fabric; optimize data models and SQL queries.
• Establish CI/CD deployments for data assets using Azure DevOps; productionalize ML feature pipelines and support MLOps.
• Implement data masking, row-level security, and data lineage with Purview to comply with regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote Agile DataOps practices.
