Job summary

RLI Insurance Company in Peoria, IL seeks a Senior Business Analyst to partner with the Data Product Owner and Technology Delivery teams. The role studies business operations and translates opportunities into actionable requirements, enabling users to adopt modern data capabilities and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 4+ years in BA, data/BI analysis or similar role.
• Experience gathering requirements for technical delivery teams.
• Experience with reporting/analytics or enterprise tech solutions.
• Agile delivery experience preferred.
• Property and casualty insurance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Data Product Owner to drive future-state analytics.
• Engage users to understand objectives, workflows, and data needs.
• Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs.
• Support backlog grooming by evaluating value, impact, risks.
• Coordinate analysis and progression of data & Analytics requests.
• Identify recurring needs and data quality concerns for enablement.
• Create knowledge articles and decision guides from common needs.
• Maintain inventory of legacy reports and manual processes.
• Support release adoption with docs and training materials.
• Establish measures to evaluate outcomes and success.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data practices.
