Job summary

The Guttmacher Institute seeks a Senior Data Analyst, Research and Advocacy to integrate quantitative analysis with policy expertise for international SRHR research programs. You will collaborate with scientists, policy colleagues, and external partners to connect analytical outputs to country-level policy questions.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of international SRHR or global health research experience.
• Substantive knowledge of SRHR policy and financing frameworks at multiple levels.
• Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis using Stata and/or R; experience with large-scale survey data.
• Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative outputs for policy audiences.
• Experience building partnerships with country- or regional-level organizations.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee annual AIU data update cycles with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee data analyses of large-scale population survey data (DHS, MICS, PMA) in Stata and/or R.
• Design and interpret research to inform policy audiences and outputs for policy use.
• Contribute to SRH indicators, measurement frameworks, and methodological innovations.
• Serve as author/reviewer for peer-reviewed publications and policy reports.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
