Job summary

Iridium is seeking a Data Analyst III to help understand and improve the performance of our satellite telecommunications network. You will analyze network traffic, service quality, usage trends, and operational data to identify patterns, investigate issues, and support data-driven decision making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is curious and detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets using SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, and other analytical tools, and able to communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of data analysis or BI experience in telecommunications or related analytics.
• Advanced SQL with complex joins, window functions, and large datasets.
• Strong Power BI skills including data modeling and DAX.
• Experience analyzing high-volume datasets to identify trends and issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze satellite network data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance issues.
• Query and analyze data using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and related tools.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Analyze telemetry data, CDRs, session data, RF metrics, gateway performance, and device usage.
• Collaborate with RF, Network, Systems, Operations, and Data Engineering teams to validate data and improve reporting.
• Build datasets and semantic models to support investigation and executive communication.
