Job summary

AptNexus is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Risk Analytics) to support a cybersecurity compliance program for our Department of Treasury customer. You will maintain and enhance the risk model, ensure data integrity, and deliver dashboards and analyses that inform leadership decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data analysis, strong Python 3 and R skills, advanced Excel with VBA, and proven Tableau dashboard experience. Remote work is available within the United States.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of data analysis experience including risk scoring models.
• Experience applying scientific methods to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Strong Python 3 and R proficiency for data preparation, analysis, and automation.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas and VBA macros.
• Experience building interactive Tableau dashboards.
• Ability to present analytical results clearly to management and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with risk-based approaches to compliance or cybersecurity data is preferred.
• Detail-oriented self-starter who manages priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance a risk-based selection model and the scoring calculations that rank partner organizations by compliance risk.
• Maintain and operate the data fields, code, and scripts used to analyze review findings and their relationship to risk model outputs.
• Revise and maintain formulas and VBA macros that apply weighted evaluations of risk factors.
• Aggregate data from multiple sources to identify the highest-risk partner organizations and validate results.
• Design and maintain risk dashboards in Tableau that track findings, risk levels, rankings, remediation status, and historical trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve the risk model and coordinate with customer stakeholders on enhancements.
• Present analytical results and recommendations to customer leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Document models, data definitions, scripts, and procedures for repeatability.
