Job summary

IMR Soft LLC is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to collaborate with data SMEs, owners, and teams to translate business needs into data requirements and reliable sources. You will write Python scripts (Pandas, NumPy) for data extraction and validation, and work with SQL and Excel to analyze data for key metrics.

You will evaluate data sources, document data characteristics, and guide visualization teams in metric development while adhering to the SDLC and documenting processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years writing Python scripts to analyze data using Pandas, NumPy and related tools.
• Strong SQL skills.
• 5+ years proven data analysis experience.
• 5+ years working with database and reporting teams.
• Basic understanding of technology controls.
• Basic understanding of technology risks.
• Intermediate Excel skills including string manipulation functions, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot tables.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to assist with data analysis and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with data SMEs, data owners, and other team members to understand data requirements.
• Identify and evaluate potential data sources.
• Evaluate and document data in terms of Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity and Value.
• Write scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
• Analyze and attest to the data’s ability to support various metrics.
• Document requirements for new data sources or data source enhancements.
• Partner with the database team to onboard new data following Technology standards and procedures.
• Guide the visualization team in the usage of the data for development of metrics.
• Follow the company’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies as required.
• Create required documentation to evidence the process.
