First Roles is seeking a Data Analyst (Python) in Alpharetta, GA to drive data analysis and data quality across multiple sources. The role emphasizes Python scripting, SQL proficiency, and collaboration with data SMEs and database teams to onboard data assets.

The candidate will guide the visualization team in metric development and ensure compliance with SDLC, while documenting data requirements and processes for ongoing data governance.

Formación

• 5+ years writing Python scripts to analyze data, with Pandas, regex, Lambda and NumPy.
• Strong SQL skills including complex queries.
• Minimum 5 years of proven data analysis experience.
• 5+ years collaborating with database and reporting teams.
• Basic understanding of technology controls and risks.
• Advanced Excel skills (strings, VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables).
• Experience using AI tools like Claude and Copilot for data analysis/validation.

Responsabilidades

• Guide the visualization team in using data to develop metrics.
• Follow SDLC policies and create process documentation.

Position: Data Analyst (Python)

Location: Alpharetta, GA (In person interviews only)

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:

• Collaboration with data SMEs, data owners, and other team members to understand data requirements
• Identify and evaluate potential data sources
• Evaluate and document the data in terms of Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity and Value
• Write scripts to extract, transform, and analysis data from various sources
• Analysis and attest to the data s ability to support various metrics
• Document requirements for new data source or data source enhancements
• Partner with the database team to on-board new data following Technology standards and procedures
• Guide the visualization team in the usage of the data for development of metrics
• Follow the company s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies as required
• Create required documentation to evidence the process

Requirements :

• At least 5 years of writing Python scripts to analysis data including extensive knowledge of Pandas, RE, Lambda, and NumPy
• Strong SQL Skills
• At least 5 years of proven track record data analysis
• At least 5 years of experience working with database and reporting teams
• Basic understanding of Technology controls
• Basic understanding of Technology risks
• Intermediate Excel skills including string manipulate functions, vlookups, and Pivot tables
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Project Management experience
• Experience with using AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to assist with data analysis and data validation

Preferred :

• Knowledge of DevOps tools and concepts
• Experience with GitHub and code deployment
• Adaptable to learning new technologies and working in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction where the individual actively with competing priorities
• Advanced SQL Skills
• Experience with Snowflake
