Genworth in Richmond, VA seeks a Principal Data Analyst to partner with Long Term Care Claims Operations, translating complex data into insights that shape strategy. This role requires Power BI mastery, advanced SQL, and strong data storytelling to influence senior leaders.

You will design scalable dashboards, forecast trends, support capacity and financial planning, and mentor junior analysts while upholding data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical/technical field.
• 6+ years of progressive data analytics experience.
• Expert SQL and Power BI with dashboard storytelling.
• Experience with large structured datasets using SQL, Excel, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior analytical advisor for LTC Claims, Customer Service, and WFM to inform decisions.
• Develop Power BI solutions: datasets, models, reports, dashboards.
• Apply BI best practices: data modeling, DAX, security, governance.
• Ensure dashboards are intuitive, well-documented for exec and ops.
• Lead advanced SQL queries for large datasets.
• Present findings to senior leadership with actionable narratives.
