Job summary

The Senior Data Analyst at New Mexico Department of Justice will ensure accuracy and timeliness of federally required Medicaid reporting, support oversight of MCOs, and help strengthen compliance operations across agencies.

You will manage data, coordinate complex reporting cycles, develop dashboards in Power BI, mentor staff, and communicate risks to leadership, ensuring state and CMS requirements are met with defensible, data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience with databases, data extraction, data migration, and data validation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, databases, data warehouses, cloud technologies, and Power BI.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries; Python or PowerShell experience.

Responsibilities

• Federal Reporting Coordination and Compliance Oversight: develop procedures and project plans for Medicaid reporting.
• Policy and Regulatory Alignment: analyze CMS rules and ensure state implementation timelines.
• Operational Support, Data Management, and Risk Tracking: maintain shared workspaces and dashboards.
• Quality Assurance: conduct QA reviews and provide training and mentorship.
• Communicate with contractors, MCOs, and internal staff to support reporting and coordination.
