The role emphasizes complex analytics on large administrative datasets using SAS, R, Python, and Databricks, with collaboration across a multidisciplinary team. A PhD with 5+ years of related public health experience is preferred, and government experience or CDC clearance is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SAS, R, Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with large administrative data and public health research.
• Familiar with CDC policies and data use/management requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Support Medical Product Safety Branch activities with a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform advanced analytics using SAS, R, Python and Databricks.
• Lead analytic projects ensuring accuracy of plans, code, and results.
• Share analytic code in compliance with CDC data-use policies.
• Guide other data analysts to meet programmatic goals.
• Attend branch and program meetings and provide project updates.
• Maintain skills through required training and CDC exercises.
