Responsibilities
- Defines, designs, and creates advanced analytical reports and dashboards to meet business needs
- Collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to clearly define and document information/data requirements
- Develop and implement strategies to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse designs to ensure that business needs are met
- Utilize data mining languages, such as SQL, to collect and aggregate information
- Presents data back to stakeholders in digestible format as table or using data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Builds application workflows to collect and visualize data for non-technical users using Microsoft Power Platform
- Ensures data and findings are accurate and meet highest quality standards
- Develops and implements data mining techniques that are efficient, repeatable, and production-ready
- Works with structured and unstructured data to prepare in-depth analysis. This may include cleansing and normalizing data or development of internal control reporting to ensure data validity going forward.
- Quickly identifies, troubleshoots, and remediates issues that are produced from anomalies in the database environment
- Supports analytics strategic initiatives by providing feedback and completing testing, as needed
- Works closely with management and other department heads to prioritize business and information needs
- Assists in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets.
- Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work

Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience as a data analyst in the Insurance industry, with emphasis in Workers Compensation preferred
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL
- Proficiency with data visualization and analysis using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Access
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform including Sharepoint, Microsoft PowerApps and PowerAutomate preferred
- Proficiency in data storytelling, including ability to communicate technical concepts with non-technically oriented people
- Advanced technical expertise regarding data modelling and design
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence preferred
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or other quantitative discipline
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to organize and balance multiple concurrent timelines and tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
