Job summary

Aptive is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support the Community Care Program Integrity initiative within the VA. You will serve as the analytics SME, performing SQL-based querying, data extraction, validation, and KPI monitoring across VA data environments including CDW and related VHA systems.

You will design data products and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or VSSC, supporting program leadership and evaluation teams. Experience with federal healthcare analytics and VA systems is essential.

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, SQL-based querying, data extraction, operational reporting, and KPI development within large-scale enterprise analytics environments or comparable integrated data platforms.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field required; note that 4 years of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Demonstrated experience supporting VA, VHA, DoD, or comparable large-scale federal healthcare analytics programs, with familiarity with healthcare data structures and program integrity or community care environments.
Ability to obtain VA network access and pass VA background investigations; must be able to pass federal suitability requirements.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary analytics subject matter expert for CCPI operational reporting and deliver timely, accurate data products to program leadership and evaluation stakeholders.
Design, develop, and execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate structured data from VA enterprise data environments.
Develop, maintain, and improve KPI monitoring frameworks and interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or VSSC to support CCPI performance tracking.
Support CCPI pilot data management activities, including data environment setup, data quality audits, and coordination with evaluation teams.
Perform data quality assessments, identify anomalies, and implement remediation strategies to ensure reliability of reporting outputs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, document methodologies, and produce data dictionaries and technical documentation.
