Job summary

Infopeople seeks a Senior Data Analyst with ETL expertise to map VSAM to relational SQL and support the legacy replacement program. The role demands extensive experience with data profiling, transformation, and validation across Mainframe and SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities include documenting data quality rules, developing complex SQL validations, and collaborating with data SMEs to remediate data quality gaps. Onsite/remote work options apply as per client policies.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of source-to-target data mapping experience in mixed Mainframe and Relational DB environments.
• Experience creating data dictionary documentation with business terms, valid values, and definitions.
• Experience converting/migrating VSAM data to relational/dimensional SQL distributed databases.
• Three+ years developing applications using IBM DataStage ETL.
• Experience extracting field references and calculated data from COBOL programs.
• Experience with BMC Control-M workload automation software.
• Experience with GIT version control software.
• Three+ years experience with Pension Administration systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for Data Profiling/Cleansing, Conversion/Migration, and Validation efforts for Legacy Replacement initiative.
• Identify, inventory, and classify critical data with data SMEs.
• Document data quality rules and definitions with data SMEs.
• Optimize and tune ETL and SQL processes for performance.
• Extract business rules from legacy code and create Source-to-Target mappings.
• Translate rules into ETL/SQL technical specs.
• Support data integrity and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate to address data quality gaps and remediate identified issues.
• Handle defects and provide resolution.
