Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Mortgage is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to own data solutions end-to-end, from intake and scoping through build, validation, testing, and launch. This hands-on role requires writing advanced SQL daily, managing data requests, and delivering data with accuracy in a federally regulated mortgage environment.

You will drive data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, and BI migration efforts, onboarding new sources via API and SFTP, while ensuring compliance with RESPA, TILA, ECOA,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business/data analysis experience, with hands-on data warehouse, ETL/ELT, or BI/project delivery
• Advanced SQL: expert-level joins, window functions, aggregations, reconciliation queries
• Databricks experience (SQL warehouses, notebooks, Delta Lake, or Unity Catalog)
• Strong analytical knowledge to profile data, identify discrepancies, and reason about data quality
• Proven experience executing data validation, reconciliation, testing, and UAT
• Experience owning end-to-end data projects: intake, scoping, requirements, delivery, launch, and post-launch support
• Excellent requirements elicitation: capture both functional and non-functional needs (performance, security, auditability)
• Strong data modeling, warehousing, dimensional design, and reporting best practices
• Knowledge of modern data ingestion (APIs, SFTP, batch/incremental loads) and onboarding sources
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GCP) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Able to manage multiple workstreams in a regulated, fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Business or related field

• Own intake for data, reporting, and analytics requests with triage and prioritization
• Elicit and document requirements with acceptance criteria, data sources, and success measures
• Perform hands-on data discovery and profiling in scoping to confirm source data quality
