Job summary

Sharp Decisions seeks a mid-level to senior Business Data Analyst to support the Cyber Data Operations team within ISDAD, focusing on GRC programs. The role requires strong data analysis, SQL, Python, and API experience to cleanse, validate, and integrate data across upstream sources.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and data developers to understand source data, validate quality, and support loading into the CyberDW for GRC initiatives, with a hybrid work arrangement in Jersey

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Business Analysis or Data Analysis.
• Strong SQL, relational databases, and data analysis experience.
• Python for data analysis, manipulation, or automation.
• Exposure to APIs and data exchange between systems.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specs.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret data in a business context.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, analyze, and validate data from internal systems, spreadsheets, reports, and upstream source systems.
• Analyze data trends, patterns, and business performance using Excel and BI tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, data sources, and data requirements.
• Develop and document technical requirements for data analysis, data integration, and data quality initiatives.
• Perform data cleansing, scrubbing, reconciliation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with data development teams to support ingestion of source data into CyberDW for GRC programs.
• Use SQL and relational databases to query, analyze, and validate datasets.
• Leverage Python for data analysis, processing, and automation where applicable.
• Work with cross-functional teams to investigate data discrepancies and resolve data quality issues.
• Communicate analytical findings and data-related insights clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
