Senior Data Analyst, Clinical Trials Feasibility

  • This position is full-time and home-based anywhere in the United States or Canada, West Coast preferred.
  • Candidates who can work hybrid in San Francisco, CA office strongly preferred but not required
  • Relocation assistance not provided at this time.

Summary:

IQVIA’s FSP team is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Data Analyst to join an Advanced Analytics group within our clients Clinical Data Science department. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience supporting clinical trial operations as a data analyst on tasks such as study feasibility, design optimization, site selection, etc . Use tools or SQL databases to get data and then format and communicate it in a way that study teams can understand the insights. Previous experience supporting efforts for clinical trials is required, such as providing data-driven insights used in making decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Clinical Operational Strategy by using Python and SQL to query, aggregate, analyze, and derive results from clinical trial operations data.
  • Collaborate with clinical study teams to understand their analytics needs, perform analyses, and report back with tailored results with minimal oversight.
  • Work with real-world data modalities such as Medical Claims, Electronic Health Record data.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance models, tools, and visualizations to support ongoing or planned clinical trials.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through all work.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback to product managers for internal systems to do operational strategy
  • Ability to apply statistical models and advanced analytical techniques

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to data science, engineering, computer science, statistics, or machine learning. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in supporting the operational feasibility, design analytics, and analytics of clinical trial operations.
  • Strong proficiency in both Python and SQL for data querying, aggregation, and analysis.
  • Experience working at a Clinical Research Organization or Pharmaceutical company conducting study feasibility and site selection analytics required
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with using new tools as required
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and work with clinical study teams to understand their needs and deliver results.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $88,300.00 - $273,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
