Job summary

The Vanguard Group in Lees, PA is looking for a Data Analyst, Specialist to turn data into strategic insights and drive operational improvements. You will structure complex requests into analytics projects, extract data from multiple sources, and build automated reporting for decision-making.

You will mentor analysts, develop dashboards in Tableau/Power BI, and explore AI-enabled analytics to support Vanguard’s mission and innovation efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in advanced data analysis, statistical modeling or business intelligence.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or Statistics/Mathematics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction and performance optimization.
• Expertise in Python or R for data manipulation, automation and advanced analytics.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create interactive dashboards and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals and translates requirements into an analytical project approach.
• Acquires, integrates, and curates structured and unstructured data from diverse sources and ensures data quality.
• Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods and AI-enabled approaches.
• Develops and delivers visualizations, presentations, and decision-support tools that translate analyses into actionable recommendations.
• Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
• Mentors and trains junior data analysts and shares best practices.
• Contributes to strategic initiatives and pilots new analytics, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Participates in special projects as assigned.
